Your Gift is Needed

Therefore all things whatsoever ye would that men should do to you, do ye even so to them...”  Matthew 7:12

Imagine we’re sitting together on my porch today, enjoying the beautiful day and maybe a delicious cuppa tea. I’d want to leave you with this:

There are many hurting hearts we pass daily. Be gentle.

There are many people who are trying to find their way. Be patient.

There are those who are struggling just to put a smile on their face. Be compassionate.

There are souls who are discouraged and at the brink of falling apart. Be kind.

There are minds which are cluttered and at the point of breaking. Be sensitive.

There are eyes filled with tears from pain and loss. Be kind-hearted.

There are friends who need someone to just be there, not to fix anything, but just to listen. Listen intently.

There are sisters who need to know they’re special and loved. Show them.

There are many ladies who need a boost today and it doesn’t take a grand gesture to do so most of the time. It’s the simple things which sometimes make the biggest differences to someone who is a little down.

A sweet smile or hug

A word of encouragement

A listening ear

A moment of our time

A cuppa or a lunch date

A flower or note

A hand to hold or a pat on the back

A shoulder to cry on or someone to lend a hand

A prayer

It doesn’t take a lot, just give what you’ve got to give - and do it as into the Lord. In doing so, you’ve touched a life for the better and have blessed the Lord in your giving. We are the hands and feet of Jesus, let us never forget.

We’re commanded to love our neighbor as ourselves...what does that look like for us today?

Let’s do the little (or big) things today, and in doing so, bring God glory and our people simple, sweet blessings to uplift their spirits and bring a smile to their face.

We CAN make a difference, it only takes being willing to serve, putting others first, and giving from our hearts.

My gift to you: No matter what’s going on in your life today, I pray that you’ll know you’re worth it, amazing, and loved beyond your wildest dreams. You’re not alone no matter how it may feel. You’re coming out of this and God will hold your heart and oversee your restoration and comeback. Be encouraged today, my friend. And most importantly, Jesus is coming soon; we’re almost home!

Let’s all find someone to build up today. We need each other more now than ever before.

I’m so glad you’ve shared this porch time with me today, now let’s get out there and make a difference. Someone is waiting for our gift - and remember, we might be the person in need tomorrow.

Let’s make a difference somewhere today!
