In the Beginning...God

 

In the beginning, God...

Sometimes in the middle of hectic, life-crowded days, this important fact slips my mind. 

Before we got “here”, God was. 

Before we get to our first “we have a situation” today, God is. 

Before we arrive at the moment we’re not sure how to face, God will be. 

God...wrapped all around us! Before, presently and continually with us. Let us not forget the facts when things begin to go haywire. 

He’s never ever left us, and never will. He resides over every questionable situation we’re unsure of. He reigns over every minute detail of our lives. He holds us close when we’re afraid. He prods us gently along when we’re hesitant of change and the future. 

It’s never been about us anyhow, it’s always been about Him. 

In the beginning...

He knows all there is to know about us. He knows how we’ll respond, the lessons we’ll learn, how our faith will grow, or how we might struggle through to victory. 

He knows us in our good and not-so-good days, and brings peace and hope or whatever we are in need of in a given moment. He knows when our hearts are aching and when they’re full of joy and contentment. He knows when we’re unsure and when we’re simply walking by faith. He knows!

Be encouraged today, my friend. There is nothing we can’t face without Him. Nothing can separate us from His love. Nothing catches Him by surprise. Nothing brings Him joy like us realizing we can trust and rest in Him. 

A blessed assurance for certain. Remember, in the beginning of every day...

we can, because God is.
